Dark Meat: "Angel of Meth"

Dark Meat/Vomit Lasers Family Band/Galaxy or just Dark Meat for short, is all of the talent in the city of Athens, Georgia, in one gigantic band. Well, almost. The number of bands with connections to Dark Meat surpasses 20 and at any given time the band includes at least 15 members, sometimes more. The Athens music scene has always been about a sense of community and Dark Meat is just that.

Dark Meat's debut, Universal Indian, is the sound of an entire community coming together to create something huge, and have a lot of fun at the same time. Pulling together a full choir of voices and an enormous collection of instruments from electric guitar and tuba all the way down to bongo drums and harp, Dark Meat are Athens' rolicking answer to The Polyphonic Spree. Universal Indian will be October 24th on Cloud Recordings, home of the Olivia Tremor Control, Circulatory System, and the Tall Dwarfs. If you feel like you're ready, check out this track from Universal Indian right now.

[MP3]: Dark Meat :: Angel of Meth ( Highly Recommended!)
If you took Black Mountain, dragged their drunk asses out of Canada and dropped them down in Athens for a year, gave them a full choir and a horn ensemble or two, locked them in a backyard and told them to make just one song, this would be that song. I don't really have anything else to say.

Thanks, Matt, for the tireless support of TC artists and fellow Athenians. Like Joe Namath said, "I wanna kiss you."
