The Saddest Song Ever To Be A Song
Okay, so, The Cannanes' "We Drink Bitter" might not be the saddest song ever, but when the vocals come back in at about 1:26 singing (what I believe to be) "Is love a box, or is love a sham?" it's just some of the most heartbreaking stuff my ears have ever heard. It gets me everytime.

Generally speaking I prefer the Cannanes songs where Frances sings but this is great too. Very Go-Betweeny, isn't it?

Matt, I think I told you before, this is a brilliant song!!The Cannanes have stolen my heart for ever - one of my top five bands of all time. I can't hear this song any more...it brings me to the brink of tears!
